HP Chromebook 15 with IPS display and full-sized keyboard goes official

The new HP Chromebook 15 is the first from the brand in this display size and comes with Intel Pentium Gold 4417U and Core i5 processor options

Leading computing brand HP has expanded its Chromebook lineup with the launch of its latest product, the Chromebook 15. The company has recently announced the Chromebook 15, which comes packing a decent spec sheet for its price tag. The newest laptop flaunts backlit IPS touchscreen display, fullscreen keyboard with number pad and Chrome OS as its highlights.

HP Chromebook 15 specifications

The HP Chromebook 15 comes with 15.6-inch IPS BrightView micro-edge WLED backlit touchscreen featuring a screen resolution of 1,920 x 1,080 pixels. The 1.8kg chassis of the new laptop is also home to a full-sized backlit keyboard with a number pad on the side. The base variant of the Chromebook 15 is equipped with Intel Pentium Gold 4417U processor, paired with 4GB of DDR4 RAM, whereas, the high-end model features Intel Core i5 chipset. For graphics, both variants get the Intel HD Graphics 610. HP also claims that the Chromebook 15 can deliver up to 13 hours of backup on a single full charge.

The newest Chromebook from the company features a front-facing, wide-angle webcam with dual microphones, and built-in speakers courtesy of Bang & Olufsen. The Chrome OS-powered laptop features  Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac and Bluetooth 4.2 for connectivity.
